Job Summary:
The Outside Salesperson will be passionate about building strong client relationships, driving sales growth, and promoting our extensive range of high-quality flooring and trim products. As an Outside Salesperson, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and maximizing revenue within the California market. Compensation: base plus commission.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and target potential clients within the assigned territory.
Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
Proactively seek out new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to showcase our products and services.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their ongoing needs.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing product information.
Collaborate with clients to understand their flooring and trim requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Consultative Selling:
Utilize in-depth product knowledge to consult with clients on the best flooring and trim options for their projects.
Offer tailored recommendations and provide samples, product specifications, and pricing details.
Present and explain product features, benefits, and advantages to potential clients.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to secure orders and agreements.
Pipeline Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the CRM system.
Forecast and track sales performance, providing regular reports to management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the internal teams, including design, operations, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experiences.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to share market insights, customer feedback, and sales progress.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven track record in outside sales, preferably within the trim, flooring, construction, or related industry.
Strong understanding of different types of flooring materials, trims, and installation processes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Results-driven mindset with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
Exceptional negotiation and presentation abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and internal software.
Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
